We don't publish a replacement-wheel or spare-parts program for bebe luggage, so please don't assume wheels can be swapped. If a wheel or zipper has a problem, check for simple causes first, then contact the seller through Your Orders on Amazon.
If a wheel is stiff or wobbles
- Look for debris. Hair, thread and grit catch in the axles. Turn each wheel by hand and clear what you find.
- Check for damage. Look for a cracked housing or a bent wheel.
- Test on a hard floor with the case empty to see whether the problem is the wheel or the load.
If a wheel is loose, cracked or won't turn after cleaning, stop using the case on rough ground and contact the seller. A local luggage repair shop may be able to look at it, though we can't promise a part is available.
If a zipper sticks or separates
- Stop pulling. Forcing it can pull teeth out of line.
- Zip back a little, hold the fabric flat on both sides and ease the slider along.
- If the teeth have come apart behind the slider, a luggage or tailor's repair shop is the safest next step.
Prevent wheel and zipper strain
Reviews of luggage in this category sometimes mention wheel or zipper wear, and overpacking is a common cause. To reduce the strain:
- Pack within the case's capacity, and use the compression straps. See Packing with compression straps.
- Leave a little space so the zipper closes without force. Never sit or kneel on a case to close it.
- Weigh the case against your airline's limit.
- Lift on stairs and curbs, and don't drag a heavy case over rough ground. See Spinner wheels and trolley handle.
